The End - By A.A. Milne

When I was One,
I had just begun.

When I was Two,
I was nearly new.

When I was Three
I was hardly me.

When I was Four,
I was not much more.

When I was Five,
I was just alive.

But now I am Six,
I'm as clever as clever,

So I think I'll be six now
forever and ever.

 - A. A. Milne

Connect Over a Poem:

Ask your child what they like about being their current age. What’s something they can do this year that they couldn’t do last year?

Fun Activity:

Ask your child their thoughts on their current age and the next year to come. Record their answers, and give it a try every year on their birthday. They’ll love to look back on their responses when they’re older, and rereading their answers will be sure to make you laugh.
